Dubai-inspired ice cream goes viral in Gran Canaria

A Gran Canaria ice cream parlour is making headlines with a brand-new flavour that’s already causing a stir online. Helamore has revealed what it claims is the first Dubai chocolate ice cream in the Canary Islands, and it’s already gone viral across social media.

The dessert, made with rich Dubai-style chocolate, pistachio syrup and crispy kataifi pastry, has caught the attention of food lovers.

Content creator Víctor G (@vrglez_) shared it on his platform, calling it “a game-changer”. “You won’t find this on Google,” he said, “but Helamore has made it a reality.”

The new flavour is being described as a luxurious take on the classic scoop, and it’s already got people queuing at Helamore outlets across the island.

The Canarian brand has grown from a small local business into a well-known name, with shops in Las Palmas, Playa del Inglés, Arinaga, San Agustín, Vecindario, Anfi del Mar and Puerto Rico.

Known for its focus on fresh, local ingredients, Helamore produces more than 30 varieties of ice cream from its Arinaga workshop, including vegan and low-fat options.

The Dubai chocolate flavour is not a limited edition, but part of a broader push by the company to bring bold, unexpected combinations to its menu. It’s being launched officially on 30th May (Canary Islands Day), though it’s already drawing attention well ahead of schedule.

Staff describe themselves as “architects of sweetness, with a mission to turn every visit into a unique experience”.
