Dead body found on seafront walkway in the south of Tenerife

The Emergency Services Coordination Centre of the Canary Islands have reported that they received an alert from a member of the public at 8:05am this morning, informing them of the discovery of a man, aged approximately 50 years old, who appeared to be dead on Avenida Juan Alfonso Batista which is the seafront walkway in Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife.

They immediately dispatched the necessary emergency resources to the area, and paramedics and Primary Care health personnel confirmed his death after assessing on their arrival.

Following this, the Security Forces and Bodies were in charge of the corresponding proceedings so that the man’s body could be taken for official identification and an autopsy to decipher the cause of his death.
