Dead body found in a house in Tenerife part eaten by animals

Police are investigating the death of a man in Tenerife, whose body was discovered today (Saturday) in his home located in a rural area of the Tahodio Valley in Anaga in the north of Tenerife.

The cause of his death and how long he has been dead have not been confirmed as yet, but there is speculation that he may have been a victim of animals, as his body showed signs of having been eaten by dogs and rodents.

The man, approximately 65 years old, was found dead inside his home by police, who were called by a neighbour concerned that he hadn’t seen the man for several days.

When officers entered the property, apart from the corpse, they found twelve dogs inside who have since been removed and taken to a local shelter.

The man’s body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine to perform the corresponding autopsy to clarify the circumstances of his death.
