A car overturned in Haría, Lanzarote, yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, the second such incident in the area in just one day.
The emergency services were dispatched to the scene of the accident, which was on the LZ-1 road between Arrecife and Órzola.
Firefighters arrived to find the car had left the road and flipped over completely. However, the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, had managed to get out and told crews he did not need medical attention.
This incident comes just hours after another vehicle overturned on the road to Órzola earlier in the morning, when a car left the road and flipped over. Emergency responders confirmed that the driver was not seriously injured, even though the vehicle had been severely damaged.
This part of the LZ-1 near Haría has seen several similar accidents in recent years. The road has sharp bends and changes in elevation, which can make it tricky to drive on, especially for those who don’t know the area well.
The emergency services are often called to incidents here, and there have been calls for better signage, road repairs, and reminders for drivers to take extra care.
