Confusion as car ends up on the sand of an inaccessible beach in Tenerife
Beachgoers in Punta del Hidalgo, in La Laguna (Tenerife), were left stunned yesterday when a car was spotted stranded on Playa Roquete Beach, with many asking the same question: “How did it get there?”
Photos and videos of the unusual sight quickly went viral on social media, spreading rapidly through WhatsApp and other platforms.
Emergency services confirmed that, fortunately, there were no injuries, only material damage. The car was empty when located, easing concerns among local residents who initially feared someone might be trapped inside.
How it happened
According to reports from the emergency services, it is believed that the car slid down a nearby ramp, eventually coming to rest on the beach itself. Firefighters were deployed to the scene and worked to secure the vehicle before arranging for it to be removed.
