Body discovered in abandoned well in Tenerife
The National Police have confirmed the discovery of a body inside an abandoned well in the La Barranquera area of Valle Guerra in La Laguna (Tenerife).
The find, reported this afternoon, Thursday, triggered a major emergency response involving the fire brigade and police.
The well is believed to be around 125 metres deep, and specialist teams have been working to secure the area and recover the remains. The operation has drawn considerable attention from local residents as emergency crews continue their efforts.
Investigation opened
According to police sources, an investigation is now underway to identify the deceased and to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Authorities have not ruled out that the body may belong to a person recently reported missing.
