The Tenerife Cabildo reported last night that the fire is under control with firefighters, ground support, and water from the air controlling the blaze. They stayed during the night to fully extinguish it and to ensure it didn’t reignite.

The Insular Operational Coordination Centre has reported of an outbreak of forest fire declared in the Tenerife municipality of Los Realejos, according to the Cabildo de Tenerife on social media.
The fire is located in the so-called ‘pista Lolita’ just outside the town, and embers of the Forestry Brigades have already been transferred to the scene, with the emergency services confirming that "Land and air resources have been mobilized."
At the moment the size of the area affected is unknown, but it is said to spreading quite quickly due to the dry terrain and winds that are spreading the flames.
