51-year-old motorcyclist dies after accident in the south of Tenerife
A 51-year-old motorcyclist has tragically been killed in an accident on Avenida Palm-Mar, the main road leading to and running through the town located in the municipality of Arona, in the south of Tenerife.
The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning, shortly after 6:00am, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
CECOES received an alert from the 112 emergency call centre and dispatched the relevant resources to the location given, where paramedics found the motorcyclist in a state of cardiac arrest.
Despite extensive efforts to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the medical team was unable to revive him, and his death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the fall or the identity of the deceased, as investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident and the results of an autopsy.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the inherent risks of motorcycling and the importance of vigilance on the roads.
