40-year-old man seriously injured after falling off a cliff in Costa Adeje
A 40-year-old man has been seriously injured this morning (Saturday) after falling off a cliff by La Salina beach in Costa Adeje whilst fishing, according to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
CECOES dispatched the fire brigade and medical personnel to the location given by the Bahia Principe Hotel in Playa Paraiso, who had to rescue him on foot with a stretcher due to the difficult access of the rocks that he landed on.
After carrying him to a waiting ambulance, paramedics treated him and stabilised him before he was transported to Candelaria hospital with multiple injuries where he has been admitted for further treatment.
No one else was injured in the incident and it is being treated as an accident with the victim saying he slipped on the rocks.
