A four-year-old girl was rescued from drowning in a swimming pool at a holiday complex in Costa Adeje in the south of Tenerife yesterday morning (Sunday), according to a report from the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The incident happened at 11:20am, which is when CECOES received an alert informing them of the situation, requesting urgent medical assistance for the young girl who is on holiday in Tenerife with her parents.
CECOES immediately dispatched the relevant emergency resources to the resort and SUC medical personnel were the first to arrive and assess the 4-year-old, verifying that she was showing ‘moderate’ signs of drowning, and once stable, was taken by ambulance to Hospiten Sur in Las Americas for further treatment.
The Local police conducted the necessary reports regarding the incident.
