A four-year-old child has been admitted in critical condition to Candelaria Hospital this morning (Sunday) after being rescued from a swimming pool at a hotel in Costa Adeje, in the south of Tenerife, showing signs of drowning.
The Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an urgent call at 11:50 am this morning, requesting medical assistance for a child who had just been pulled out of the hotel pool by the lifeguard with signs of drowning.
The lifeguard immediately began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the child until paramedics arrived at the scene, who took over with advanced techniques until the young boy was stable enough to take to hospital where he was admitted for further treatment in critical condition.
