34-year-old woman killed in motorbike accident in the south of Tenerife

A 34-year-old woman has died following a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Las Chafiras in the south of Tenerife, according to reports from the emergency services.

At 2:30pm on Thursday afternoon, the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an alert reporting a serious road traffic accident on Calle Hermano Pedro, the back road that links the industrial estate with Castillo San Miguel.

SUC emergency medical personnel arrived swiftly at the location given, where they found the woman in cardiac arrest. Despite performing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), paramedics were unable to revive her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second woman, a passenger on the motorcycle, sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment, while the driver of the car involved in the incident was also assessed by medical personnel.

Local police attended the scene to manage traffic and conducted the official report on the accident. They have not yet released further details about the cause of the collision.
