34-year-old motorcyclist killed in collision with car in Gran Canaria
A 34-year-old motorcyclist died on Friday after colliding with a car on Calle Reina Arminda in the Gran Canaria municipality of Gáldar, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The incident occurred at around 3:15pm, prompting several emergency calls to the 1-1-2 control room. CECOES immediately activated the required emergency resources and dispatched them to the scene.
When medical teams from the Canary Islands Emergency Service and Primary Care arrived, they found the rider in cardiorespiratory arrest. Despite prolonged resuscitation attempts, they were unable to revive him and confirmed his death at the scene.
Local Police and the Guardia Civil secured the area and carried out the necessary procedures as the investigation continues.
