A woman was found dead in a mobility scooter on a Los Cristianos beach in the south of Tenerife this morning, Friday 23rd February, by a member of the public who called the emergency services to report their grim discovery.
According to the 112 call centre, they received an alert at around 10:00am dispatched the relevant emergency resources to the location given. The National Police were the first to arrive and cordoned off the area to preserve the scene, and paramedics then confirmed that she was dead.
Forensic experts arrived at the scene at approximately 10:25am and began their work, and to minimise the exposure of the incident to tourists in the area, screens and covers have been used to shield the deceased who is yet to be officially identified.
According to initial information, it is believed that the woman died from a natural death, however, this information is unofficial until the causes are determined by an autopsy.
