Two injured after rolling their car in Costa Teguise

A 35-year-old man was injured in a car accident early yesterday morning (Saturday) on Avenida de Las Palmeras in the municipality of Costa Teguise in Lanzarote, according to information provided by the 112 Emergency Services (CECOES).

The incident occurred shortly after 5:30am which is when they received an alert reporting a car had rolled over with the occupants trapped inside. Consequently, CECOES immediately dispatched the necessary emergency resources.

When the fire brigade arrived at the scene, they proceeded to free the two occupants of the car so that they could be treated by SUC medical personnel.

One of them was taken to Hospital Doctor José Molina Orosa for treatment of multiple ‘moderate’ injuries, and the other passenger declined to be transferred to a healthcare facility.

The Guardia Civil made the corresponding accident report and are investigating the cause of the accident.
