BREAKING NEWS: Spain orders clocks to go back against EU directive

UPDATE:
Yes, you're right, this is an April Fool joke... the clues were in the article (if you read it!)
EG: Adolfo Pilary is an anagram of ???

In a surprising turn of events, Spain has sent out an order for the entire country, including the Canary Islands to turn the clocks back an hour going against the rest of Europe who put them forward an hour on Saturday night / Sunday morning for Daylight Saving Time (DST).

In the non-official communication that no-one has received, the Minister of Time and Energy, Adolfo Pilary, said: “We don’t need any more sunlight hours in Spain as we have plenty, especially in the Canary Islands which are so much further south.”

“We understand why grey rainy countries like the UK would want to change the clocks in desperation of any extra few minutes of daylight, but we have plenty in Spain, in fact, if we could give some to the UK to make people happier we would.”

This change will also make it simpler for holidaymakers travelling to Spain as the time will be same, except in the Canary Islands which will now be one hour behind the UK meaning you have to put your watches and phones back an hour when arriving in the islands.

This change will come into effect at midday today, Monday, meaning 12 o’clock will become 11 o’clock, and will repeat until you have done it twenty-four times.
