A slight drop in temperatures and light winds in the Canary Islands this Thursday

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasts show a change in the weather today (Thursday), with high clouds, a drop in maximum temperatures, and light northerly winds in the Canary Islands as the haze finally dissipates leaving cooler clearer weather.

Even though temperatures will drop today, they are still higher than normal for the time of year with warnings for forest fires still active in the more mountainous islands.

Sea conditions will be a lot calmer but will vary between the north and south of the islands with a warning of swell of around 1 to 2 metres and strong currents, so people are still advised to act with caution in rocky areas.
