Tourism of Tenerife and Spanair have renewed, for one more year, its collaboration in advocacy and support for the flights by the company, plus, a range of actions aimed at promoting travel to the island during the summer months.

In an exercise in which the Travel Strategy of the Island establishes the domestic market as a priority objective, the agreement with the airline Spanair implies an interesting promotion for flights.

With an overall budget of 400,000 euros, funded 50 percent by the commission of Southern Tenerife (formed by the Cabildo, municipalities of Adeje, Arico, Arona, Granadilla, Guia de Isora, San Miguel, Santiago Teide and Vilaflor, and Ashotel) and the airline, the actions include outside advertising, media plan, Internet and promotion on board

As to the external advertising, the campaign includes a presence of high visibility in lateral and backs of 75 buses in Madrid, it will also incorporate leisure centres and business with a great influx of people. The activity is planned for two months.

During the month of August all aircraft of the company will have located in the pocket of your seat a magazine produced by Tourism Tenerife, in which it shows the main attractions of the South of the Island.

Similarly, during July to December, the screens onboard will display all routes, national and international, a minute slot about the tourist offer of the South Island, with a potential audience of 500,000 passengers per month.

On the Internet, the airline has also reserved spaces for the area of the south of Tenerife, including a banner in its newsletter, sent to 700,000 customers; and another in the process of reservations of its website, with more than 970,000 impressions monthly. The page of offers of the airline will also show advertising of the tourist areas of the island.

To complete this campaign, the agreement signed by the commission for the promotion of Southern Tenerife and Spanair, will have an imminent media plan that includes inserts in press and radio advertising slots.
