Rooftop fine dining, under the stars!

WE now have something new and different in Los Cristianos! The Swan and their head chef Tim have, very proudly, put together a very exclusive and special “Rooftop Terrace dining experience”, an intimate fine-dining feast, under the stars!

We arrived, slightly unsure of what to expect, and, after a welcome drink, were led upstairs to the top terrace to take our seats. There is a maximum of 10 spaces per sitting, so booking is essential.

This week’s set menu was a five-course fish feast. The menu will be changed every week, so please call for more exact details. We started with lemon and parsley scallops, seared to perfection, with a pesto dressing, and a fresh side salad with a Caesar dressing.

This was followed by mouth-watering King prawns in whisky and coriander, with a side of garlic bread. Next came the salmon fillet in white wine and dill, with courgette and Canarian potatoes, followed by the flavourful Cajun Cod fillet, with savoury rice.

Tim cooked all the food in front of us on his special, outdoor plancha, so it could all be prepared to our taste and specification.

To finish, we sampled their delicious, warm, chocolate brownie with cream! I can tell you, there was a whole lot of empty plates and full stomachs at the end. All the food was washed down with  glasses of crisp, white wine.

The meat-feast menu includes fillet steak, herb-marinated chicken and tender lamb, and all this for an extremely-reasonable price. It’s a definite must for a romantic night, or for those foodies who like to eat in a chilled atmosphere.
