Why The Pub’s booming!

BOOM-BOOM went the room when The Pub took the trebles to earn a fabulous 5-3 win at Boothen, after a night of brilliant arrows.

Even closer was the game at Scruffy Macs against Pas O Nadas A, with the usual 180s coming from Daddy Cool and Stevie Sub, followed by a 113 finish from home-boy Tom. However, Pas O Nadas shone through in the 701 game, to ensure a share of the spoils.

Sundowners and Waterfall played the threesome game, and, in a nail-biter, the home team took the match 5-3.

Wayne, for the visitors Loch-In A, got his team off to a great start. But the experienced Phoenix Bar team, especially with their finishing, took the next five. Wayne and Paul, with sets of 14, 16 and 17 darts, won the doubles. The final game went to the visitors, for a respectable 5-3 defeat.

Palms Pool Bar welcomed Gaffers, and were happy to get one more point than anticipated in their 7-1 reversal.

A big hand to Clouseau’s, whose three players managed to push Bar Leones in a hard-fought game. But manpower took its toll, and a 5-3 defeat was hard to swallow.

Sandy’s, looking for top spot, beat Red Devils 6-2, while Legends kept up with a 5-3 win over Ourplace Breakaways by finishing first in the trebles.

Nauta Nomads thought they had done enough to win, until the four-man Buzzing B’s team found success in the final game for a 4-4 draw … and a consolation of knowing that the fewer the players, the more food!

Loch-In B welcomed Nutty Nautas, who lived up to their name, but lost out 5-3 in the darts.

The Marilyns’ derby was a close encounter and also went the distance, the A team happily accepting the bragging rights, as they won the final game to take the honours 5-3.
