Six points and one aim

Women’s football

AFTER a week off to catch their breath, Egatesa Granadilla Tenerife roar back into league action with two games, which could boost them into the top five from their current eighth position.

They are away at CFF Madrid on Sunday at 11am, and there’s a chance they can win over some new fans because the match is  live on TV Canaria.

Then, on holiday Wednesday (6th Dec), the ladies are at home against Sporting Huelva in San Isidro, kick off Noon.

There has been such a buzz around the club, following their 1-0 defeat of Barcelona at home, two weeks ago.

America Jackie Simpson was voted the league’s player of the weekend for her goal, and her outstanding defensive work.

But the squad have their feet firmly planted on the ground, and are aware that they have a lot of work ahead to build on the recent successes.
