Playboys’ trebles all round

OURPLACE Playboys started off well against Suters 20:30 Crew, going 2-0 ahead, thanks to a Del Boy maximum.

But check-outs from Ray (113) and Jamie (105) helped the visitors set up a match-deciding trebles, which Playboys won to earn a 4-4 draw.

Sandy’s Bookie Boys also went two-up, thanks to a 180 from Taylor. But Luc replied for the champions with another maximum, which helped to win the trebles to secure a 5-3 home win.

In another topsy-turvy game, Mad Hatters won the singles

4-1, with Pocket Rocket Janice making headlines again. But, sadly, she just missed a fabulous 151 finish.

Scooters & Chevy’s ‘A’ showed their resolve as they stormed back in the team games to record a creditable 4-4 draw.

A 100 check-out by Marco Zurbo was the highlight of Emerald ‘B’s night, because they were brushed aside 7-1 by Pas O Nadas International. And The Pub, who were in sparkling form, brought Waterfall back to earth with a 6-2 victory.

In Division 2, Alex set the tone for his team-mates with a 137 finish in their whitewash at Clouseau’s, who could do nothing about the 8-0 score.

Similarly, Marilyns welcomed Scooters & Chevys ‘B’ around the corner, and showed no mercy as they also completed an 8-0 win. Pas O Nadas travelled to newcomers Pink Elephant who sent them packing, again with a whitewash.

Ourplace Playgirls, in fine fettle this season, travelled to Sundowners and came back with a fantastic 5-3 win.

Naughty Nautas welcomed Palms Sports Bar, and found themselves on the wrong end of a 6-2 scoreline, while Emerald Lounge’s experienced ‘A’ team took the same score home, following their visit to Picasso’s.

The division’s two new teams fought out their first derby, as Charlie, for The Club House, recorded a 76 check-out, only for Activo to help themselves to the trebles, and a 4-4 score.

Don’t forget, there’s a Captains’ Meeting at 1pm on Sunday (30th June), at Picasso’s Pool Bar.
