An important section of the presentation of Tenerife in Fitur was reserved for the news stations, including the opening of five-star Vincci Buenavista Golf, the NH of La Laguna, renovation of H10 Gran Tinerfe, the new spa at the Hotel Beatriz Atlantis, the new rural hotel Casa del Patio, Santiago del Teide; and the attraction Loro Parque, Katandra called Treetops.  Also mentioned was the bioclimatic urbanization located at Iter, consisting of 25 houses built following criteria of sustainability and use of the climatic conditions of the site.  Finally, the audience were told that Tenerife has a distinguished restaurant with a Michelin star, as is the case of the establishment located in the Hotel Abama.
Creating a platform for on-line reservations was another action that were displayed in presentation.
As for the events planned for this year, the island will host sporting events of international importance as the Tenerife Ladies Open to be held in July at Buenavista Golf, the Beach Volley Ball Championship.  For musical events, the island will host two major concerts of world renowned artists such as Whitney Houston's and rapper 50 Cent, in addition to the dance music event "Ministry of Sound".
