€3M euros to improve El Médano coast - 02.05.2008
It’s estimated that an investment of three million euros in improving the coast of El Médano will be made.

The project envisages an area of 107,000 square metres between El Cabezo and The Jaquita.

 

The area of coastline of Granadilla from Abona that goes from El Cabezo to The Jaquita, in El Médano, will soon be object of a comprehensive project for a package of overall improvements. At a recent meeting it was agreed that the work should begin as soon as possible as these works will change the image of this coastal area. The restoration project, which provides a scope of 107,249.45 square meters, has a period of execution of approximately 10 months and a budget of 3,185,890.55 euros. Gaspar Rivero, Mayor, reported that the representatives of Coasts noted that the launching of the project "is imminent" and that is pending in Madrid they may commence, "so that this long-awaited reform of the coast will become a reality shortly," said the mayor. In addition, he said that also during the meeting the intention to carry out other work between the areas of Pelada and Jaquita.
