Help, it’s an emergency!

ADEJE Council and the Cruz Roja (Spanish Red Cross) are organising a series of days to elaborate a programme to deal with security, emergencies and catastrophes.

And members of the public are invited to get involved by submitting their ideas to the plan. The final date for suggestions is 15th December, and people should send their proposals to

The final version of the plan will be discussed during March 2018.

Councillor Zebenzui Chinea Linares said: “We want to make sure these working days have a participative element, to encourage and include ideas from local residents.”.

The programme has three pillars already established. In the first place, the response of the co-ordinated emergency team is already sorted, dealing with emergencies at local, national and even international levels where relevant, with a panel of experienced personnel.

The second point refers to analysis of the situation, and the development of technologies in the field of emergency response.

As for the third pillar, it examines the strengths and weaknesses of both public and private safety-bodies and measures.

From these bases, the programme is being developed and expanded, and Cllr Chinea Linares is appealing to experts in the sector, especially, to help in the development and deployment of the plan to allow it meet, properly, the needs of any real emergency.

Ideas sent will be evaluated by the technical team responsible, and, during January and February, the final programme proposals will be evaluated.
