Granadilla’s local Fan Zone

Women’s football

AFTER a free week, Egatesa Granadilla Tenerife are back in action on Sunday, entertaining Athletic Bilbao in San Isidro, at noon.

It’s a vital clash because the visitors are just above Granadilla in third position, and the home side have ambitions to overtake them.

They should pull in a big crowd, because the club work hard to attract and keep supporters.

Tomorrow (Saturday), they are running a free Fan Zone, from 4pm, in El Medano plaza, which is just a throw-in away from Granadilla’s former home ground, and they still have a strong following there.

This weekend, for the first time ever, Egatesa Granadilla Tenerife are appearing on the Spanish pools coupon.

El Guiniela has included a selection of games from the women’s Spanish Premier League, as part of the ongoing International Women’s Day celebrations yesterday (Thursday).
