Flights of the Phoenix

THE Canarian Weekly Trophy and Plate finals took place last week, with Phoenix Bar taking the Trophy by overcoming a four-player Pas O Nadas B team.

Gio excelled for the runners-up, with an excellent victory in the singles. But, sadly, they won just one more point as Mitch and his boys ran out 5-2 winners, despite their 336-point handicap.

Many thanks to The Loch-In for hosting the event.
Meanwhile, at Picasso’s Pool Bar, Gaffers raced into a 2-0 lead. Joe’s 33-dart, 933 leg, was the highlight of those opening games against Buzzin B’s, who fought back to equalise at 2-2, before Neil’s men took the honours by winning the last three, to carry off the Plate. Again, thanks to mein hosts.
Congratulations to the winners and commiserations to the valiant losers. And good luck to all players in the Memorial Trophy tonight (Friday).
