Environmentally friendly lights in La Camella

The stretch has cost almost 180,500 euros and has involved the installation of 96 lamp posts and three control centres.

The mayor pointed out that the new lighting complies with the “Ley del cielo” night sky laws which make it obligatory to reduce the amount of contamination caused by street lights to a minimum adding that furthermore each post is equipped with a mechanism to reduce the amount of light produced after midnight.

The councillors also explained that the installation of the street lights will increase the level of security both for pedestrians and drivers using the La Camella Valle San Lorenzo road at night.
