Couple’s lucky escape from their blazing car

TWO people had a miraculous escape last Monday when their courtesy car burst into flames, spontaneously, in Granada. And dramatic images portrayed Local Police officers battling the blaze with three fire extinguishers, before fire-fighters arrived.
The fire began on Avenida del Mediterraneo in Salobreña, last Monday at 1pm and is believed to have started in the vehicle’s engine.
Both people in the car escaped unharmed, according to local paper Ideal. Several fire-fighters and police officers were involved in extinguishing the inferno, which left the car a burnt-out shell.
Witness Johnny Handsome said: “The fire spread very quickly. The Local Police tried to put it out with fire extinguishers, but to no avail. And. by the time the Fire Brigade came, it was a burnt-out wreck.”
