Club House squeeze past busy Pink Elephant team

THE handicap semi-finals took place last week, but Pink Elephant warmed up for their semi, with a catch-up match, away to Palms Sports Bar, on Wednesday.

There must have been some close games, because Lynn posted on Facebook: “Most of the games could have gone either way.” But it was very much Pink Elephant’s night, as they ran out 8-0 winners, with Andy chipping in a 180, along the way.

Next stop for the Pink Elephants was their semi at The Club House, conceding a 40-point start, and here is Lynn’s view of events: “Wow! That’s the way to have a semi-final. What a great night.

“It could have been anyone’s game and went down to the double on the last game. It was a good fight all the way. Well done the club house and good luck in the final xx.”

The other semi, between Sandys Bookie Boys and Emerald Lounge, was equally as close. I can’t tell you much about it, but Emerald Lounge, receiving a 240-point start, won 4-3.

In the Plate, Pas O Nadas Int were home to Ourplace Playboys, who received a 40-point advantage, but, again, I have no info. I know nothing about it, other than Playboys winning 5-2.

The other semi was Club Activo v Scooters&Chevys B. The away team had an 80-point head start, and were giving as good as they got, losing the first, winning the second, losing the third and winning the fourth… but then the wheels came off, and they dropped the last three, to lose 5-2.

So it’s the last week of the league tonight (Friday), which happens to be the 13th. Make of it what you will!
