Clouseaus are the fall-guys

THIS week’s Cup/Plate, with two no-shows, one whitewash, and one game needing a decider, added up to a pair of thrilling competitions.

Firstly, congratulations to Loch Inn B for being the only Second-Division side still in the Cup. At home to Clouseaus Bar, they were 6-5 ahead when the worst-possible thing happened to the visitors.

Clouseaus potted the black, which would have tied the game at 6-6, but the white ball also decided to fall into the pocket, which was the most cruel way to lose a cup-tie.

The biggest winning margin on the night went to Scruffy Macs A,  who beat The Hunters with an impressive 10-2 scoreline. Also worthy of a mention are Legends Elite, who whitewashed Britannia Bar (Silencio).

The only game requiring a 13th and deciding game came in the Plate competition. Bar Nauta met Mad Hatters, and, on this occasion, the latter team held their nerve, for an impressive, away success.
