Bully for classy Richard

IT was bully-bully for Richard who finished with a bull on 123 and then 127 when Pas O Nadas A welcomed Bar 180 A.

Along with some excellent darts from both sets of players, the encounter finished with a 5-3 victory for the Los Abrigos side.

Boothen’s Steve was again in top form, following another maximum (with a 128 check-out), which went towards his side putting five past an improving Sundowners team.

The Tavern A’s Alan was the only singles winner against in-form The Pub, who made it a perfect six out of six successes, Pirate Pete hitting a 144 finish to complete a 6 2 win. However, most games could have gone either way.

Two of the old boys’ teams met in a closely-fought contest at Phoenix Bar, where Gaffers took the honours with a trebles win to record a 5-3 victory. And the same result was recorded at Palms Pool Bar, when Emerald Lounge came out on top with a 5-3 win, courtesy of the 701 game, in what was a superb night of entertainment.

Picassos, looking for their first win of the season, had Waterfall on the canvas but could not finish the job as the visitors took the final game to make it 4-4.

In a mid-week catch-up game, Bar 180 B travelled to Nauta campsite and came away 6-2 winners against Nutty Nautas. And they then secured their second win of the week, taking the trebles to secure a 5-3 victory over an unfortunate Playgirls team.

Sadly, Nutty Nautas’ position didn’t improve because they were beaten 6-2 by the title-chasing Legends.

Marilyn’s A stay top of the league, following a great night of banter and darts as they travelled to Nauta Nomads and came away with a 6-2 success. Marilyn’s B repeated the same score at home against Lady Macs, but it didn’t reflect the close games.

Clouseaus, from Palm Mar, thought they were in for a share of the points,  but Ourplace Breakaways took the trebles for a 5-3 outcome.

That leaves Clouseaus still looking for their first win in this campaign, along with Bar Leones, who at least claimed a 4-4 draw against The Red Devils.

In the final fixture, the same result was recorded as Pas O Nadas B took the threesome to level the game at Naughty Nautas.

This week sees Picassos sponsor the ladies and gents’ singles’ tournaments, so good luck to all taking part.
