A CUBAN woman, who is alleged to have killed 27-year-old Ibrahim Sitedigo Temiento last Saturday, after stabbing him repeatedly in Cabo Blanco, has been jailed, without bail, by a judge. His decision, in Court No.3 of Arona, followed a hearing that lasted the whole of Monday afternoon.
The judge has also decided to open a full murder investigation, after hearing evidence from the Judicial Police Organic Unit and the Guardia Civil.
The judge was told that the 38-year-old woman had planned to flee to Cuba on Monday, having purchased flight tickets at a cost of 3,000 euros. And she had fully-packed suitcases in her car when arrested.
The woman, who had rushed from the murder scene, was arrested in Granadilla, just hours after the assault, by police officers working under “Operation Indiana”. She had been identified by several residents in the area.
It was alleged that “she had been smoking crack all night on the streets, in front of her seven-year-old daughter”.
The stabbing took place at around 10am, when police received several calls, informing them that a seriously-wounded man was lying in the entrance of a Cabo Blanco building at Paseo Santa Julia.
When an ambulance arrived, medics found the man in cardiac arrest, but were, eventually, able to resuscitate him. He was taken to Candelaria Hospital, where he later passed away.
