Oasis FM darts leagues – Week 2
Its early days but Ourplace Playboys showing good form in league 1, and there are four new teams in League 2 this year, and all showing decent form with Black Magic ahead at this early stage.
League 1 - on Friday night, promoted from League 2 last year, Pink Elephant hit Emerald B with an 8-0 defeat losing only 3 legs on the night. Andy of Pink Elephant was Man of The Match and also checked out 120, which is the highest of the season so far.
Jackies went away from home to play a strong Gaffers team, but came away with a narrow defeat of 5-3. Daniel of Gaffers hit his first 180 of the season but couldn't stop a narrow defeat from David.
Palms and Sandys finished a draw although there were several games won by the odd leg. Palms led 4-3 after the doubles but Paddy, Alan & Ramon grabbed a point with the trebles win.
PON International went to Arnies in Callao Salvaje, Walters men were in good form and won the game 8-0 putting them into 2nd place in the league.
The Pub welcomed Grahams Club Activo - another stalemate, best game of the evening was Mitch v Steve with Mitch coming away with a 3-1 win. Both teams won a doubles game by the odd leg but Activo took the trebles.
Last but not least, league 1 leaders Ourplace Playboys went to the Waterfall and never lost a game - Pablo of Ourplace hit 171 in his doubles game with Nathan.
League 2 is lead by Black Magic however it’s only by 1 point. They drew away at PON on Friday night after leading 3-2 after the singles, they could only manage 1 doubles win losing the other doubles & the trebles, both doubles games were close & won by the odd leg.
Another drawn game was Clouseaus at home to Busteva Bulldogs. Busteva led 4-1 after the singles but lost both doubles & trebles. All singles games were won 2-0, with both doubles won 2-1.
Lorna took her new team Flicks to her former team Marlyns but ended up defeated by 7 games to 1. A few close games on the night so maybe the scoreline looks worse than what it actually was.
Ourplace Brokers were pushed close by Bizzles, Steve, Tommy and Mark were 2-0 victors in the singles for Ourplace, with Brian and Trevor returning the same scoreline. Both teams won a doubles game 2-1 with Ourplace taking the trebles to take the match 5-3.
Ourplace Playgirls lost to Nautas, although leading 3-2 after the singles the Playgirls couldnt take a leg in the doubles or the trebles, and lost the match 5-3.
Last but not least Sundowners defeated Exile Breakaways 5-3. Sundowners lead 3-2 after the singles, Exiles brought it level after the 1st doubles game however that was it for the them as Sundowners took the last doubles and the trebles.
