More disruption for local traders

Tourism Councillor Miguel �ngel Santos told a group of business people that the work scheduled between Hotel Iberostar Bouganville and CC Pueblo Canario in Playa de las Am�ricas was an opportunity for them to renovate and make alterations.He said their trade was an important tourist activity and modernisation was necessary to satisfy potential clients in a highly competitive market.Three major improvement projects were planned in Adeje tourist zone to ensure that a quality destination did not decline into an unappealing and outdated place, he stressed.Phase one of the programme, scheduled to in the next few weeks, will include the renewal of water pipes and rainwater ducts, location of concealed waste containers and installation of a natural gas system.Madrid, the Canarian Government, Tenerife Cabildo and the local auhority are financing the plan which has a budget of more than 9 million euros.
