MASKS, BOATS, AND BEACHES – GOVERNMENT UPDATE!
The Canarian Government has clarified a couple of points from yesterday’s extraordinary meeting, regarding the use of masks on beaches, by swimming pools, and on boats.
In a statement released after the press conference held by the president, Ángel Víctor Torres, the Canarian Government clarified that on beaches and by swimming pools, it is compulsory to wear a mask "in any accesses and on walkways that are to get to these spaces and facilities.”
They must be worn at all times, except when in the water, for bathing or swimming, or sunbathing in a specific space, on a towel or sunbed, without moving around and as long as distances are maintained with people outside of your own household.
They have also prohibited "boat parties, and gatherings on recreational boats where the safety distance cannot be maintained, between anyone who doesn’t live together."
This doesn’t mean you can’t go on a boat trip or with friends, it means you have to wear a mask and maintain social distancing when you do.
