Man charged for 13 robberies on stores in Puerto del Rosario
The National Police have arrested a 32-year-old man in Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura, who already has 46 police records, for 13 robberies in different stores across the city.
He was identified by several witnesses as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery committed in a hardware store in the capital of the island, and the police investigation revealed his participation in 12 other criminal offenses of the same nature.
The events were triggered after a call to 091 saying that someone was throwing rocks at the window of a hardware store in Puerto del Rosario, to break it to get in.
Officers dispatched to the scene were surprised to see an individual leaving the place on the run, starting a chase that lasted several minutes.
Witnesses to the events told the officers where the man was hiding, where they arrested him for the burglary of the store and criminal damage.

Upon questioning and further investion, they found the man had 46 existing police records, and also connected him to 12 other similar burglaries on commercial stores in the city, where he allegedly stole cash and electronic devices.
Once the corresponding police report was instructed, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
