Fred Olsen resumes direct routes from Los Cristianos to La Palma from today
Fred Olsen is resuming the direct ferry route from Los Cristianos to La Palma, with the frequency of trips they had until November 2nd, when they temporarily reduced the number of connections between the two islands, to carry out maintenance on one of the ships in its fleet.
As of today, the departure times from La Palma to Tenerife are from Monday to Saturday at 6.30am and 5pm; and on Sundays, at 10:00am and 5:00pm. As for those who depart from Tenerife, they will be at 8.30am and 7.00pm, from Monday to Saturday; and on Sundays, at 1:00pm and 8:30pm.
Because it is direct and not making a stopover in La Gomera, the journey time is reduced by 35 minutes, making it two hours and thirty minutes, allowing connection with public transport on all sailings.
In the shipping company's plan to improve its connections and adapt them to the evolution of demand, Fred Olsen Express plans to maintain this schedule until March 21st, in order to respond to current demand. With this decision, the company contributes to improving the connectivity of La Palma at a time when a rebound in inter-island trips is expected, and offers the possibility of making day trips, arriving first thing in the morning and returning late in the afternoon.

The only interruption in the route will be for 10 days from January 11th due to more routine maintenance, when once again a stopover in La Gomera will be introduced.
All of Fred Olsen’s operations meet the highest Covid health regulations, and in fact, the company was the first in Spain in the tourism, mobility and transport sector to be certified with AENOR for its good practices in risk management derived from Covid.
