'Black Friday' becomes 'Black Week' for Santa Cruz shopping this year
This year 'Black Friday' becomes 'Black Week' in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as was announced today, Thursday October 15th, by councillor Evelyn Alonso, the head of the Development for the Santa Cruz council.
The 'Black Week', which consists of a whole week of discounts from November 23rd to 30th, aims to avoid big crowds focused over one weekend, and also offer more discounts and options for shoppers.
On the other hand, Alonso also reported that Plenilunio (Nights in White) and ‘Ven a Santa Cruz’ initiatives are suspended this year, however, she pointed out that there will be Halloween in all districts and in different scenarios, again to avoid crowds in a single place.
For its part, the commercial sector has shown its satisfaction with the 'Black Week' idea, which they say will be a great pilot for Christmas shopping and New Year sales.
