The establishment, which is the property of the company Archipelago y Tourism will be managed over the next few years by Starwood, part of the international Sheraton group. It has 284 rooms, 20 of which are suites, there are four restaurants on site, three bars, nine meeting rooms, four outdoor pools, mini golf, a games room, a spa plus WiFi installations providing high speed Internet access for guests with laptop computers. Canarian residents will receive special rates at the hotel with a tariff of 65 euros per person. Mark Lennoy, the Sheraton representative for the Canary Islands said that if the hotel obtains a 40% to 60% occupation during the first year it will be considered a success. The company will be marketing the hotel in their already established markets in Europe although new avenues will be explored, particularly if the go ahead is given for a weekly flight to Tenerife from New York.
