Woman rescued from hotel pool in Playa Blanca after having heart attack
A 35 year old British woman was rescued from drowning in a hotel swimming pool in Playa Blanca on Thursday afternoon, after suffering a heart attack whilst swimming.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) received a call for help at 5.00pm, requesting emergency care for a woman who had been rescued from a hotel pool and was receiving CPR from the lifeguard.
Emergency services immediately dispatched two SUC ambulances to the hotel, and paramedics took over from the lifeguard, performing advanced CPR manoeuvres.
Thanks to the quick actions of the lifeguard, they were able to revive her and safe her life, transferring her to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition for further treatment.
