The political party Vox, has asked the Government to mobilize the Navy due to the increasing arrival of boats with immigrants on the Canaries coast.

In a tweet they said that Spaniards "are suffering because of the arrival of illegals to our coasts, many infected, unidentified, and the Guard Civil is overwhelmed."

This falls in line with an increase in the number of boats and people arriving at Canarian shores.
On Friday a boat with 31 on board was intercepted off the coast of Lanzarote, and three boats with 133 people entered Gran Canaria during Saturday and Sunday.

Resources are starting to get stretched as all must have coronavirus tests on arrival and be isolated for 14 days, or longer, if they test positive.

TWO MORE BOATS IN GRAN CANARIA:
Just after midnight last night, another patera arrived with 43 sub-Saharan people, according to the Red Cross. Among those travelling on the boat, there were two women and a five-year-old girl.
The boat was transferred to the Arguineguín pier, where the immigrants spent the rest of the night.

The third boat that to arrive in Gran Canaria in 24 hours, was located early this morning six miles south of the island.
It had on board 35 sub-Saharan immigrants, all of them male and possibly a minor, and was towed to the same port of Arguineguín.
A fishing boat reported the sighting at 9am today, and Maritime Rescue were dispatched to recover them.
