The Ministry of Health has informed that they have activated Covid protocols due to a Polish tourist testing positive for coronavirus in Tenerife.

The man arrived to the island before November 14th, which is before the requirement of a negative test result to stay in holiday accommodation was in place, but had to have a test in resort to access his second hotel on the island.

Thanks to the required test, the man who is asymptomatic, was detected, showing that the system the Government has implemented, works.

Faced with this type of situation, the health authorities have established the Covid protocol that allows the General Directorate of Public Health to take charge of this case.

In order to guarantee sanitary conditions that prevent more infections, an isolation protocol called "Noah's ark" has been activated that will allow them to monitor the man until he tests negative.
