Spring Hotels plan to reopen first hotel in Tenerife on July 15th
The Hotel Vulcano in Playa de Las Américas, will have clients from July 15th, a month later the Bitácora, and finally on September 15th the Arona Gran Hotel in Los Cristianos.
Spring Hotels have announced that the first of its hotels, the Vulcano in Playa de Las Américas, will reopen on July 15th. The chain will then proceed to open its hotel complexes gradually, once all security measures have been guaranteed, and to meet the expectations of its customers.
On August 15th the new-look Bitácora will open its doors, and on September 15th the Arona Gran Hotel will receive its first customers. Between them, the three hotels have more than 1,000 beds.
"Opening all our hotels in the coming months is a brave option with a very strong commitment to reactivating the Tenerife destination, being aware that, at first it will not be profitable, but it will be a boost for tourism on our island, an industry that represents over 30% of our Gross Domestic Product”, said Miguel Villarroya, General Director of Spring Hotels.
Regarding the dates chosen for the staggered opening of the three complexes, these have been chosen based on the refurbishing works in each hotel, which in the case of the Bitácora includes a brand new vacation concept and pool.
The company reported that the new health protocols, in addition to those already implemented by the chain itself, include hygiene measures, digitization, and prevention through training. In addition, they said that guaranteeing the minimum distance in the group's hotels is "relatively simple" thanks to the design of large spaces and common areas. "Even so, spaces and furniture will be relocated and support personnel will be added in areas of greater concentration," the company said.
Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers and disinfecting mats will be placed everywhere, and specific products will be used to eliminate the virus. In addition, rooms that remain free will be quarantined 24 hours before disinfecting and cleaning.
