Police ask for help to identify kamikaze driver in Gran Canaria
The Highway Service Department of the Gran Canaria Cabildo, are appealing to the public for their help in identifying a kamikaze driver they recorded this morning, driving in the wrong direction of the GC-1 motorway.
The incident took place at 4.15am this morning, when the driver of a truck was seen turning at the exit off the GC-1 at the Piedra Santa tunnel and travelling almost 1 kilometre in the wrong lane, in the opposite direction south on the GC-3, towards the GC-100 , heading towards Merca Las Palmas.
Although the roads were quiet this is seen as a major infringement of the law, and although caught on CCTV it is very difficult to make out the registration of the truck, hence why they are appealing for public help.
If anyone has any information on this reckless driver, please contact the Local Police.
