Maritime rescue find another boat with 38 immigrants off Fuerteventura
Maritime rescue intercepted a boat with 38 sub-Saharan immigrants on board last night near Fuerteventura, according to sources from the Government Delegation on the island.
The occupants of the boat (24 men, 9 women and 5 children), were rescued nine kilometres from Fuerteventura by Salvamar Mízar, who transferred them to the port of Gran Tarajal.
After questioning the occupants on board, the emergency services conclude that it is a boat that left Tarfaya (Morocco) at midnight on Thursday, which was alerted in the morning by the NGO Caminando Fronteras.
Since the state of alarm began, 24 boats have arrived in the Canary Islands with a thousand people on board.
