Lucky escape for injured woman after car crash in Fuerteventura
A 25-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in Fuerteventura this afternoon (Wednesday), after an accident in Gran Tarajal with another car, and having to be cut out of her vehicle.
Firefighters from the Fuerteventura Emergency Consortium were called to an emergency at the junction of the FV-4, at the height of the Gran Tarajal cemetery at 1.45pm, involving two cars.
Three people were injured, and one of them, a 25-year-old woman, was trapped inside her car and had to be released by firemen.
The other two were treated at the scene by paramedics of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), for minor injuries.
Once they had managed to get her out of her car, the woman was taken to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura after suffering leg injuries, for further treatment.
The Guardia Civil are looking into the cause of the accident in which no-one else was involved or hurt.
