The public water company Canal Gestión Lanzarote has informed its customers, that it will not cut off supply due to non-payment of bills until September 30th.

It is important to note that this only affects private homes considered as first homes, but not second homes, commercial or industrial premises, and tourist facilities, and is in compliance with Royal Decree-Law 16/2020of July 7th, of economic reactivation measures that has just entered into force after its publication in the BOE.

According to Canal Gestión, this measure will be maintained "until the aforementioned decree declines", when the company can, and will, initiate the pertinent processes established in the official Regulations for the supply of drinking water and sanitation services on the island of Lanzarote.

These can be consulted at the Virtual Office, and in those cases of non-payments that exist, and if they continue not to be paid, could lead to an interruption of supply.
