Fuerteventura's four 'puntos limpios', or rubbish tips, have been re-opened to the public after a provisional closure due to the coronavirus crisis.

The Waste Department of the Cabildo, led by Carlos Rodríguez, reports that the opening hours are from 10am to 6pm, from Tuesday to Sunday, remaining closed on Mondays.

A series of control measures have been implemented for protection of clients health, as users will access the interior of the facility individually and always in their vehicles, thus restricting entry in order to personally attend to each person.
Likewise, the facility will be disinfected and cleaned at the beginning and at the end of each day.

The four sites are located in:
Lajares (La Oliva),
Risco Prieto (Puerto del Rosario),
Fuente Bartolo (Tuineje)
and Barranco del Mal Nombre (Pájara).
