Four arrested in Tenerife cannabis club for drug dealing
The National Police have arrested four people, three men and a woman between 19 and 24 years old, for dealing drugs in a cannabis club in Arona, in the south of Tenerife.
Officers became aware of the situation, after they were told by tourists they questioned about drugs they were in possession of, that the cannabis club was, allegedly, selling it to them, after saying that smoking marijuana is legal in the Canary Islands, and being ushered in to the club by a street PR.
The National Police managed to verify this through an undercover team in the vicinity of the association, and get sufficient evidence to allow them to arrest the person in charge at the club and three of its staff.
The police action led to the confiscation of more than 2 kilos of marijuana, 40 grams of hashish, 922 euros and 122 pounds sterling, allegedly from the sales of the narcotic substances, which were inside the clubhouse.
Also a sales report was found on two sheets of paper, with annotations from the previous days, and another handwritten sheet in which the narcotic substances offered were listed, as well as the prices of each one.
The detainees, together with the attestation carried out for this purpose, were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority waiting to be charged.
